If you are interesting in becoming a Freemason the basic requirement is that you must be at least 21 years old (there are exceptions for Universities and the sons of Freemasons) and of good character. You must believe in a supreme being, this means that you must believe in a single god or deity above all others. Men from all religious backgrounds are welcome as long as this holds true.
The traditional way of becoming a Freemason is: to be one, ask one. That is to talk with someone you know who is already a Freemason and let him know that you are interested in becoming a Freemason.
If you do not know a Freemason then you can enquire with us via the contact section of this site or you can enquire with the UGLE
Women can join Freemasonry via one of the two female-only Grand Lodges: The Order of Women Freemasons and Freemasonry for Women.
